About Smithson Farm

A family-run farm campsite in the heart of Pendle Witch Country - where every guest is welcomed like an old friend.

Our Story

Carole's Lancashire welcome

Set on 1.2 acres of level land overlooking the Lancashire countryside near Burnley, Smithson Farm has been welcoming campers, tourers and glampers for years. Run by Carole, the site is known for its warm welcome, immaculate facilities and a genuine sense of community.

Situated on the outskirts of Burnley in the heart of Pendle Witch Country, the farm is surrounded by history and natural beauty, from Pendle Hill on the horizon to the Leeds Liverpool Canal just minutes on foot.

The owners also created the Woodend Mining Museum on site, which began with a few rusty items discovered when clearing the land and now houses an impressive collection of artefacts donated by ex-miners.
